I think I have a problem when starting a new project: I start one today, and tomorrow I have 20 new projects. Not knowing which I should work on, I work on none, and the original project gets forgotten.
I usually start with a simple idea, but the more I think about it, I think of cooler things, more features (in case of a web project) then I research a bit, and find cool new technologies, tutorials, etc...so in the end, I spend a lot of time thinking and doing research and no time turning the original idea into a reality.
I think this problem has a simple solution: just focus on one thing at a time, keep it simple, and just do it. I have to struggle to achieve this, but it seems to be effective. I've started prioritizing my ideas/projects, and put myself the limit of not working on any new project until the one I'm working on is finished. Although this seems like I'm doing less, I feel like I'm achieving more.
Does something similar happen to you?
